Default gears

ive heard of swapping gears when you lift a truck and add bigger wheels/tires.
example:
if you have 33"tires you should have 4.10 gears
" " " 35" " " " 4.56 gears
" " " 37 or 38 4.88 gears

well my question is if you have 22 -24 inch rims does the sam rule apply?

I suppose so. You're talking about the outside diameter of the tires, not the rims.

Need to figure out what the total diameter is. To get an idea go to tirerack.com and look at thier tires and all the specs. You can have a 31" tire on a 15" rim and it is the same as a 31" tire on a 17" rim and so on.
