If you are thinking of plowing commercially just go look under a 2500. The frame is much larger than the 1500 frames.
A differant way to approach this is this. This would work pretty well if you are just doing your own plowing. Also you shouldn't run into the over heating problems.

That's considered a snow PUSHER not a plow. Same deal as those bobcat pushers except it's not quite as wide. It'll still push a descent amount of snow, you just have limited options is all.

no matter what you plow with, plowing will ruin a truck whether its a 3500 or a 1500. youd be better off buying a beater to plow with. nevermind rust issues from salt, dents from sliding into things and constant front end problems.

You can rig up airbags in the front even with a T-bar setup, However, Requires bit of fab work. infact Everything I can think of to beef up the front end requires a bit of fab work.

Not to mention, I doubt your rear end would hold up to it for long periods.

If you do do it, And Efan would probably help with the cooling issues.
