so i know the cig lighter turns off with the ignition and the 2 12v outlets stay on but does anyone know if they (2 12v outlets) are turned off when the truck goes to sleep? i'd test it out now but its raining alot lol

I know in my Ram with the full center console, the 12v outlet inside the console is the only one that's on all the time as opposed to the other two on my dash bezel.

 

Goes to sleep?

I have 3 12v, one is for the cig lighter (energized only when key is on). The other 2 are dedicated 12v accessory plugs that are hot all the time.

 

My accessory plug under my ash tray is hot all the time.

 

ya the truck will go to sleep after about 15mins of no activity (not starting it, opening doors etc), it turns everything off (like the lights if you leave them on), just wondering if it does the 12v plugs as well

gonna have to put a multimeter on the fuse and see if its always drawing

 

As said above, my accessory outlets stay hot all the time no matter how long the truck sits. Thats how I charge my phone sometimes.
