Transmission is a NO-GO
I have an 04 ram w/4.7 and auto tranny and I was driving today and the truck felt like somone just put into neutral. I pulled off the road and tried and it will not go into any gear. The only code it thru was the P0700 code in the odometer. Any one have any ideas??? Tranny gave no sign of anything wrong . I changed the fluid and filters about a month ago. Hope someone can help me

RE: Transmission is a NO-GO
OK, I did a search on here for the code and this is what i came up with
"I had the same problem with my truck with only 500 miles on the odomenter. It's a computer control module located in the transmission. Take it to the dealer and they will drop the pan, replace the module, and refill the transmission. "
That was a reply to another guy about the same code. You can search at the bottom of the page and read the replies yourself, there are several. Hope this helps

RE: Transmission is a NO-GO
I had a coworker with a 4.7 auto truck and when Pep Boys changed his trans fluid they put his filter on backwards. About 2000 miles later his trans wouldn't engauge. He took it to the dealer, they put a new filter in the trans and everything was fine. Sounds similar.

I checked the fluid everything looks good , But when I did change the filter I just put the o-ring on the filter and pushed it in. I read where it is important to fully seat the grommet. I will check first thing in the morning. Thanks for the replies i will let you know tom.
