ABS doesn't seem to be working.

Hey there,

Now that the roads are icy, I noticed that my abs on my 04 qc hemi isn't working at all. I had to jam on the brakes, and the truck ended up locking up all four tires and throwing me sideways.

I bought this truck a year ago now, and am pretty sure the abs hasn't worked since i got it. I have hooked up to my scan tool, and the truck isnt throwing any abs related codes, and all the fuses seem to be fine.

Any idea where else I can check? I am assuming there was a previous problem and the old owner just disconnected something so that he could trade it back into the dealership, but am not sure where to look. The truck also had new brake pads on all corners when i bought it, but the guy put on the cheapest and noisiest pads he could find it seem just to sell it, so im sure he had brake problems.

I also dont have any indicator light go on when I put the truck into 4x4, but that seems to be a fairly common problem from what I can tell, so that may be unrelated.

thanks

forgot about this post for a bit.

From what I can tell via online sources the truck should at least have a 2 wheel abs system to it, possibly 4 wheel.

But Im not 100% sure

Yeah I think all trucks came with 2wd. Pretty much every vehicle out there today comes with at least that.
