How's the ride on your truck?

How's the ride on your truck?
My truck rides kind of rough or should I say, stiff. I don't know if it is due to the 245/70R17s but my ride really sucks. I went back to the dealer and they said that everything was fine, after they took a 23 mile test drive to figure that out!! I am gonna get my tires re-balanced by someone else and try it again. However, I am gonna upgrade next month to 305/45R22. Now I expect these to ride a little stiff. Is my problem with the tires or these are the truck's natural characteristics? BTW, I have never owned a full-sized truck before and probably expect it to ride like a car.

I guess that it must just be me. My wife keeps telling me that it's a truck. I guess that I'll have to get used to it. BTW, I didn't make it to get my tires balanced today but I will tomorrow and will let you all know the outcome. Also my last vehicle was a car.

It's a truck and you can't make it ride like a car. You will get use to it and eventually like it, imagine that. No really most trucks ride stiff and it's because it's designed to haul a load and ride up high. After a few years in my truck I went back to a car and lasted about 2 months and couldn't stand it anymore. I went out and bought another truck, my 05 ram hemi and I love it. I'll never go back!

I think Dodge realizes a truck is a truck and mounts the stiffer shocks on even the 2wd. I have a 2wd but it still rolls smoothly and the 20" rims help to stride over the larger potholes. The wide stance gives it good stability in a turn and I find myself taking turns a lil faster than I should just because the truck can stick them pretty well. If you want a smoother ride, you're gonna have to get softer shocks. My dad used to do it all the time on our older trucks so my mom wouldn't complain.
