Won't Play MP3's
 

Hello, I just recently purchased a 2007 ram 1500 SLT with the factory radio / cd player. NIce sound system and plays cd's just fine. I burned some of my mp3's to a cd-r(memorex) that will play on vehicles at work and will play on some older cd palyers I have at home. They will not play on the 1500 cd player even though the owners manual says it supports mp3 formats. Has anyone else had this problem, would another brand of cd-r's work or will I have to get another unit to play them which sucks since the manual does say it supports mp3's. Any help help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would try sony CD's i had the same problem with a ford work truck before.

Yeah, unfortunately, different manufacture brands or formats play or dont play

Thanks, I'll try the sony cd's and if that doesn't work I'll change out the radio unit. And speaking of that, I have read several threads on changing out for the 07 and some say it's simple and some not. I do have the third seat with the back that folds down to double as a lift up center console. The cup holder folds down from the dash by pulling on it, and the radio has the silver bezel that surrounds it. Just wondering what removal proceedure applies to this setup?
