Default Fuel Injector Cleaner for Throttle body?

Hey all, new to the forum, I had my Throttle Position Sensor (2003 5.7) light come on while on a road trip and figured out it is most likely the throttle body gettin gummed up from this forum. My question is this. Would running fuel injector cleaner every 3000 miles or so help prevent this? I am going to remove it and clean with brake cleaner, but do you think it would help to prevent it from getting gummed up again? Or maybe run higher octane every few tanks of gas? Just would like a preventive measure so I don't have to clean it manually as frequent. Thanks!

It's something you have to clean manually. Fuel isn't sprayed near the throttle body so there's no convenient way to do it automatically. The gunk isn't a byproduct of combustion so nothing you do with the fuel will do anything for the tbody.

Gas is a great cleaner in the place of de-greaser.

Just keep doing it with brake cleaner. Adding a Catchcan is meant to help keeping away oil/vapor deposits at the manifold tb.

Always use a non chlorinated brake cleaner to clean the backside of the TB. No preventive injector solution will work because it cant get to the backside of the TB

I use Sea foam. Clean manually (front side) I have a can you can charge with air put sea foam in then air charge. I pull the intake temp sensor, use clear tubing into sea foam can (Need another person) rev truck up 2-2500 suck sea foam in. Works great.
