You can either get a coil spacer, 3 inch longer coil springs or a 3 in longer spindle. The longer coil or spindle will make you more level than the spacer will

Good lord this has been beaten half to death...

3" springs will not work on a '06+. Max you can fit is 2" coils or coil spacers without wrecking your UCA and coil bucket. 3" spindle is your best bet.

What would adding a 2.5" coil spacer do to it? Would it be worth the time money and work?

It will essentially make your coil longer. It's like basically putting a hockey puck on top of the coil. It's cheap and easy to do but you always get what you pay for so the spindles are the best way to go like Brandon said

That will make your UCA slam into your coil bucket during articulation. 2" max for the '06+ 4x2. Even at 2", the UCA will hit on harsh bumps.
