Default Odd thump/knock from below... Torsion bar?

Hey Fellas

The truck's a 2003 4.7L 4X4 ST.

As of late I've been experiencing an odd sort of knocking/thumping sound that seems to come from under the driver's seat, almost like a rubber mallet being banged on the chassis. This sound seems to occur mostly when there is a lateral rocking motion (often at slow speed) if I'm driving on a VERY poor road. Might this not be attributed to the torsion bar(s) and the related bushings?

Anyone out there ever experienced something like this? I sure would appreciate some ideas or thoughts. Thanks Guys

Sway bar links or bushings...you might have to disconnect the sway bar and see if the noise goes away

Could be a ball joint or control arm bushing if it still makes noise while disconected...i use zip ties to suspend the bar if you cant take it off and so i dont wreck the links removing it

I have the same exact noise coming from the same place! I was just out there today trying to figure it out. I have newer sway bar links and bushings.

Thanks so much for the guidance, you Guys! When some of this snow and ice clears I'lll b able to get underneath and take a close look. The sway bar and links is something that I hadn't thought of, but it now seems logical. If I was States-side I'd invite you over for a few beers! Thanks again!
