Default Check Engine Lite

Please Help! I own a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi 4X4 and have a Bully Dog Gas Tuner. Recently I had my Check Engine lite come on and while I was driving I was experiencing rough acceleration; I did a diagnostic with my Bull Dog and I go the following Trouble codes:

P0300: Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected

P0406: Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor A Circuit High

P0335 Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit

P0315 Crankshaft Position System Variation Not Learned

So I looked the codes up and learned that I needed to change a few things and this is what I did:

Changed the Spark Plugs, Cleaned the Throttle Body, Cleaned the Air sensor, Cleaned and recharged the Air filter (because I have a K&N Cool air intake). I also replaced the Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor, the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Valve, and the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve. Once I was complete I cleared the codes with my Bully Dog and also with the Dodge Key Trick I saw on YouTube and still the Check Engine Light still comes on and still blinks. I took it for a test drive and it seems to run great, the engine has not over heated and keeps a regular temperature. It even feels like it has more horsepower however that dam light is still on and when I run the Diagnostic the same codes come up and I clear them and that does not seem to do the trick.

If anyone can help please tell me what I have to do to!

Thank you in advance,
Sincerely
Carlos

Welcome to DF

You may need to perform a crankshaft relearn on the truck. Also relearn the ETC circuit too. I will more your post to the Ram Section.

The EGR and CPS circuit all going through C2 on the PCM so probably a quick inspection of that connector is warranted. If nothing looks wrong with it then perform the electrical diagnostic of P0406 and P0335.

To make the PCM relearn you can go to your fusebox, pull the fuse for the PCM and leave it out, insert your key in the ign, filp it on/off/on/off/on and leave it for a few seconds until you hear two chimes. Then turn the key off, replace the fuse and start the truck.

This may cause a slight 1 or 2 second delay before it cranks. This is NORMAL and will only happen once

Also, please take the time to click the links in my signature and download a free copy of the Service Manual for your truck and go through it for additional help

Now if it comes back on you still have a fault and that when you check the codes again and fix the problem. Then reset again
