Default Bilstein 5100s or the HDs? Some questions...

OK, so all morning I’ve been looking up info on the Bilsteins 5100 and the 4600 (HDs) for my 08 Ram QC 4x4 – I have stocks now with the 20” rims and I’m not looking to lift it necessarily, but wouldn’t mind a more level ride. I do occasionally tow and throw dirt in the back. If I did get the 5100s, I would most likely just put it on the medium setting, somewhere around 1”. Most of the info I found was on the 5100 but very little on the HDs, so I have just a few questions and I hope you guys can help.

1) I’ve heard that even though the 5100 rears are not adjustable, they still lift the truck by at least .5” – is that correct?
2) What is the ride comparison between the two? Anything must be better than stock. Is it safe to assume that 5100s are firmer and HDs are softer?
3) If I go with the HDs, do they lift the front and/or the rear at all or will I be looking at stock height?
4) Does anyone have a before/after picture of either setup just as a bonus?

Thanks in advance.

Konrad

I dont think shocks can lift a truck, they only cushion bumps. I also want bilsteins but not sure which ones give the best ride for daily driving

Glad to hear! I'm still waiting on mine to come in.

What setting did you put them on? Was it a pain in the *** to put them back in with the higher setting? Did you do rears as well, or just fronts?

Shocks are good for 50-60k. They may look good, the nitrogen charge leaks out.

HemiRam - where did you get yours from and how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking? I ordered mine from Autoplicity exactly a week ago and just checked and they haven't even shipped yet. I hope they're not on backorder or something.
