Which 6.1 valve springs??
#11
So, you think I should ask each individual vendor quality questions about the kits they are selling??........
Don't you think that would be like asking ford and Chevy which brand is best? Ford or Chevy........
Of course each vendor is gonna say their product is better.......
Anyone else ever used either of these engine rebuild kits?
Thanks

And also, I can't find a single 6.1 hemi option on any 2000-2014 dodge ram
So I guess I'll pose the question again.....
From what year, make, and model are the 6.1 hemi exhaust springs found?
May not make any difference from what year cause they're all the same but that still doesn't really help me find them. So simple question - wanting a direct answer that includes year, make, and model.
Thanks

Why don't you just Google it?
Not being rude but you said the parts guys you were going to wanted to know that so they could look up the parts and I told you it doesn't matter because they were all the same 6.1 springs. You are trying to find yr/mk/mo so you can find the springs and I'm telling you how to find the springs without knowing yr/mk/mo.
Google is your friend - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_Hemi_engine
No one I know of personally or here rebuilds a stock engine. They replace it because it usually costs less in the end, takes less time and would come with a warranty.
Those who have rebuilt, did not build a stock engine.

I guess if you don't have time or know how to rebuild an engine and have to pay a mechanic or shop to pull, rebuild, and reinstall a motor then yes - it would be cheaper to buy one. But, the cheapest I could find a 5.7 hemi with a reasonable amount of miles on it was $1600 and up..... Crate motors are even more.
So, in my case it's only $700 for a complete rebuild kit plus a few hundred in machine shop cost..... Quite a bit cheaper for me to rebuild it myself....
Thanks for finally giving me a direct answer.....
Not sure when a direct answer started to be referred to as being spoon fed
You must love all the cryptic bs answers women usually give.......

No, we just try to get you to think outside the box and think for yourself because at the end of the day, you are who you have to rely on.
I gave you assistance 2x but you didnt want to do a very simple search. I gave you keywords and even a link for you to click on. You chose to keep coming back asking the same question rather than attempting to use the info that was given to you.
I'm sorry you think giving you keywords and links to use is cryptic.
How many blocks have you built before?

Time for you to go ask questions and seem help somewhere else.
You don't have the common sense to even look up valve springs or what engine they came in. You could have looked in my signature and seen the parts manuals we have to help you but no, you needed a more knowledgeable member to spoon feed you the right answer because you just were not keen enough to do it yourself.
Good luck with your engine build. We all here wish you the best
