MPG with the new SUPERCHIPS?

RE: MPG with the new SUPERCHIPS?
I'm getting worse milage. I used the performance setting first and had my foot on it all the time. I then programed for towing and got 6mpg but it does tow better. I don't drive my truck daily now and when I do I often put the foot heavier then when I did drive it daily. I have not tried the setting for better milage. I gave up any hope of getting better milage on this 5.7L Hemi and bought a new motorcycle that gets 38mpg. Benefits of living in San Diego, drive bikes year round.

It seems to be better. here's what I have found
I've mostly had it tuned to 91 for 2 weeks now.
IF you drive normally "keep with traffic" I have been getting 14 in the city,,
Driving like a fool it drops to 10.5-11.
THey are not great numbers but prior to SC,,I was only getting 12 n the city keeping with traffic and down to 7-8 driving like a fool.
NOw the couple days I left it on 87 tune,,,The city miles were about 15 keeping with traffic,,and around 11 driving hard.
I tried the tow tune,,,but it just sucked gas, and made the engine sound flooded out.
I have not done any real highway driving since I got it,,,but the couple times I have,,,at around 70 I was getting 18-19 on 91 tune, ans 19-21 on 87 tune

RE: MPG with the new SUPERCHIPS?
a bit on ashpalt,,not on portland cement though,,,which is what most of Michigan is!!!
Not at least my truck,,with AEM CAI,,,,NOt to mention the Limited slip rear end,,,makes for a hell of a bounce,,
I read his post too,,,I think he was exaggerating a bit
However on slightly wet pavment or dew covered the rear end will lose it, all the way up to around 35,,,when u punch it

this is a GREAT post! Finally we are getting some answers! I would love to hear from more SuperChip owners out there... I am probably ordering mine next week. Also, Yoyo, I think you said you had the AEM CIA, how do you like it? I am thinking of getting that one as well.... thanks in advance

RE: MPG with the new SUPERCHIPS?
I get about 3mpg better on mine from stock, thats with intake and freeflow bullet exhaust. BUT, thats when I'm off the gas, I love hearing my truck scream!!! Its funny, I have a $1500 sound system and I turn that down just to hear my exhuast. The superchip is awesome, by far the best part for the money!!! If you can feel the difference, which you can with this thing, then you know its doing something.

Yes< i like to the AEM CAI,,,I think it prob makes the truck sound much better then it actually increases perfromance. Completely changes the interior tone.. As for my MPG postings,,With the CAI MPG appears to be heavily dependent on the outside air temp...Better in higher temps ,,,and worse in lower...Kind of stands to reason
