Both say they have a little room to work 1st one says he would come down to 1k
2nd one says he has little room also but wants me to make an offer and he says he already has couple offers on it.

Up to you,,, but I would find out which one has had the rear end replaced and with what. Rear end failure is certain on both vehicles.. at least on the 04 it is,, pretty sure 05’s have the same posi clip problem too. both are good years though.

I'd go with the 04 hemi, before the 4.7, especially in AZ. The 4.7 is known for its overtemp sensitivity, plus the Hemi is a recognized advantage in H.P. The only advantage to the 4.7 may be flex fuel, if it is optioned on that truck, and, if its of a personal concern to you the buyer. As mentioned by Rought, get the facts on any rear end work on either truck.

My 2005 hemi currently has 203K on the clock with no engine issues whatsoever, and still pulls the "bought new" mpg.

That's is exactly why I come here Really great info. THANKS The hemi seems to be high on his price but has a little wiggle on it he said about 1k. He stated no major issues or work done on it other than all maintenance. At what point does the rear go out? And do they go out even with good maintenance I have talked to both and both have indicated they have taken really good care of it.

Thanks everyone for your input it really helps.

So what happens when it does go out. What to look for ?

I like the 2004 better too because of the HEMI, BUT...IMO the price is too high and they're banking on the purdy wheels selling the truck. When you look it over focus your attention away from them.

Prices on any vehicle are ALWAYS NEGOTIABLE is the pre owned market. I live in a different part of the country so the "norm" would be different. Do a realistic eval of the truck on one of the sponsored eval sights, then shoot him a price. There's lots of these trucks out there, sometimes just have to be patient to find the EXACT one that trips your fancy. The 2005 dually in my sig took me nearly a year to find, but its almost exactly what I was looking for

Thanks guys, I already booked it and the 04 is little high. At best he should be at 9 but what I think he's trying to get what he put in to it personally sub woofers a newer radio, some other things. What do you all think I should offer. I do like the hemi a lot. He said he would come down to 10500 but even that's high according to book

95--let him come back to you, yes he'll laugh and shake his head, but more money in your pocket means more mods!!
