changed torque converter, making clicking sound
 

After I put everything back together, it's hard to start and makes a weird clicking sound wen you rev the engine. Also I changed the starter.

Were there any shims on the old starter. Make sure the starter is aligned with fly wheel, it might be binding.
If that is not the problem you might have to take the inspection pan back off the bell housing and have someone crank the engine while you are looking at the torque converter and the starter to make sure all is not out of balance or to see or hear what might be making the noise.

Are you sure the converter was fully seated. If not it may have bound up. I have seen that. Most of the time it destroys the pump. Or breaks the neck off the converter. The clicking sound is similar to a cracked flex plate.

I fixed the weird noise. The starter was not seated properly but the truck is still hard to start, once started the engine runs good but shifting from park to anything ells is very ruff

I'm with p28351. When the transmission was installed did you need to pull the converter forward to meet the flywheel? This would be correct. The wrong way would be if it was already jammed up tight to the flywheel...meaning the converter was not installed into the front pump properly.

Ok thanks guys... going to drop the trans again and go from there.

As a check....You could remove all the torque converter bolts and see if you can push the converter away from the flex plate and back into the pump. This may confirm if the converter is properly situated in the pump...
