Hey everyone just bought the truck (2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7 single cab with 166k) and I just realized that the engine light never goes on. I ran a scan and noticed that it should be on but it isn't. I have two theries just trying to figure it out...


1. The LED that is behind the cruise control light is dead or something happened to it. It's not a cluster light it's a light that is soldered in.

2. Is there a wire that could have been cut that would stop the light from lighting up??

 

What vehicle? Year, mileage, engine size, etc.

 

when you scanned the truck, what codes did you pull, I would fix those while your at it
