Dual Exhaust ?

Thinking of going with dual exhaust on my 2005 Ram 4.7 anything i need to change or be aware of if i go that route.

True duals or a catback system?

Ramx2 01-20-2017 06:52 AM

true duals

Ramx2 01-20-2017 06:53 AM

keeping the cats though just true dual with cats

jkeaton 01-20-2017 07:46 AM

As long as you are keeping the cats and not doing anything with the O2 sensors, it will be fine as far as driveability.

I seem to recall the 4.7 ideally needs a pipe size that normally isn't in a mandrel bent cat back system. Like 2 1/4 or something. That's part of the reason I went with a 3inch single. But, I expect duals would sound a bit nicer. :)

I have a 3inch single catback, no issues, but one thin I did do was upgrade my y-pipe to a slightly larger one.noticed a lot more low end torque, and the get up and go on the highway improved
