Default Seized engine swap

I am thinking of buying a 2004 ram 2500 with a seized engine. I am wondering if anyone or if it is possible to pull the engine and replace it with a 5.9(360). Will it bolt up to the tranny? I have a totaled Durango in my driveway with a bad tranny...If it's not possible, I'm not even going to buy the truck.

Anything is possible. The time and money maybe the limitation.

The magnum engines use a different bellhousing bolt pattern than the newer engines..... And if the truck is a 5.7 hemi, it is a MUCH better motor than the magnum. If, however, it has the 318 in it, its a direct swap.

04 2500 your only engine options were 5.9 cummins or 5.7 hemi. Anything other than a direct or compatible replacement is gonna be a lot of work and money to make work right.
