Chain rattling type noise starts light and increases as i run the engine. 4.7l
I have a Dodge Ram 2004 4. 7 liter engine I recently did a rebuild on it torque everything down to spec according to the factory service manual check Clarence with a feeler gauge. When I start my truck there is a very little if any noise at all. There is a slight tap after running it for about 10 to 15 minutes the top gradually gets louder to where it sounds like it's chain running noise. Emmet County friend says it may be lifters lash Adjusters. To me it sounds like the sound is more noticeable if I get down to the ground and listen it's louder then listening on the top end of the engine not really sure where it is coming from hard to isolate. On the rebuild I changed the Pistons the Rings I change a camshaft that was damaged I replaced a valve exhaust that had a hole in it change the oil pump water pump timing chain guides and tensioners also change the timing chain idler sprocket. Anyone has any idea what could be causing my issue the truck runs just fine no skipping no missing just that ticking noise which is driving me up the wall. Your input or any assistance would be greatly appreciated thank you
