diy single turbo 4.7l magnum
I'm looking to turbo my 02 ram 1500 4.7l v8. I am either going to do a rear mount or just flip the manifold if i am able to do that. I only want to run like 5 to 6 lbs of boost and I also dont want to spend more then $1000. What is involved in doing this

Bwahahaha!!! You'll spend a quarter of that just on tuning lol. Rear mount would probably be your best bet. Wondering about your budget goal, is there a specific reason or is this just what you have to work with? With this budget in mind I'm guessing you were going ebay sourced pieces all the way?

Yeah. I'm looking to be as low buget as possible probably. Going to use an ebay kit like you were saying. I just really dont want to spend $2k for a engine that might just blow up.

We hold this truth to be self evident, because if you actually had an idea then you'd know that $1000 ain't gonna cut it. In this realm you truly do get what you pay for.

then what would be a more realistic price range i talked to a guy at sts turbo and a turbo kit for a 03 hemi might fit on my truck with dome modification but it was almost almost $6000 which is way out of my price range
