Default rear carrier

Hey guys,
I'm sure the question has been brought up before but I was wondering what range of gears I could go with and still use my stock carrier. Any info on this would be greatly apperciated, thanks.

I guess i should've given more info, the truck has a 9 1/4 rear. I'm looking to get more low end out of the truck it seems to be geared high. I'm barely pushing 1500rpms at 60mph and I would like to bring it up to 2000rpm at 60. The truck has a 4.7 with standard tranny. I'm just not sure how much of a change I can make and still use the stock carrier.

What year is your truck?

If you have the chrysler corporate 9.25, you can put any ratio you can find on it. There is no split for that one. Find out what ratio you have now, and then consider what you want to do.

you do not want to turn 2000 rpms at 60. 4.7’s loose power at about 3300 rpm At 70 you would really have no bottom end at all then. I put 3:92 in my 05 4.7. It runs at 2100 rpm doing 75. If I need power after that I have a little I can play with if I wanted to (ie: climbing hills, passing cars, etc).if you still need more bottom end youll have to do mods to the motor. Tuner, exhaust, intake, electric rad fan.
