'03 1500 5.7L P-0441 EVAP code help

I am attacking a P0441 Evap code so I can get my truck inspected. I noticed a broken clip on the "filter" side of the leak detector. I'm going to replace both clips with hose clamps. Could this be that easy? Also, do these other connections need hose clamps or are they correct in the way they look now.

The PCM isn't seeing the correct changes in airflow into the engine when the purge valve is commanded open. Unfortunately, it doesn't tell us if the flow is too high, too low, or simply isn't changing at all...... It might be a bad valve, bad control circuit, or a bad hose.....

Totally Agree, check the hoses first. If there are any cracks, even small ones, and yes, the missing clamp can cause problems on the system

I've gone through the hoses as best I could and found them all to be in good shape. Im going to replace the clamps on the leak detector and clear the code to see if that does it. I have a friend with a smoke machine so I may go ahead and hook that up if we find some time to do that.

My question on that would be where is the best "entry" point to hook the smoke up to?

Brake booster hose.

I've seen posts about people changing the Evap Leak Detector (first picture) to solve it. Is this worth changing out anyway or should I wait until I've ruled out any bad hoses/clamp spots.

It's best to thoroughly troubleshoot the problem rather than just throwing parts at it, hoping for a fix........

I agree, just not used to computers in my truck. I eliminated everything computer except for an ignition module from my jeep back on the day. I'll adapt :)
