2006 Ram Known Electrical Issues
I'm new here, though I'm not new to Dodge trucks having owned a '98 Dadota V-6 and currently own a '01 Dakota with a 4.7.
I read the sticky here on known issues of this generation of Ram, and I didn't see anything mentioned about electrical gremlins. But, I'm looking at a '06 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT with the 3.7 V-6 with automatic. I have been told there are some major electrical issues with that era of Ram, i.e. headlights hi/lo problems, wipers, etc. I did a google search and it seems the most common problems are with the TIPM.
Anyways, anyone have any comments or experiences with electrical problems on '06 Ram 1500s? Thanks.
Oh, and this is another unrelated question. From what I read the '06 Rams with automatics came standard with the 3:55 axle ratio. How well will a '06 Ram 1500 with the 3.7 automatic tow if it does have the standard axle ratios? I have a 12 foot single axle trailer and will tow a Farmall Cub that will probably weigh in at around 2000 to 2500 lbs. after wheel weights, etc.
