Dumb Question- Windshield Wipers

Hey everyone, I just replaced the multifunction switch on my 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 to fix the intermittent turn signal issue. This is the second one I have replaced in the last 2 years. It fixed my turn signal problem, but now the windshield wipers will not turn off. It's like they run one setting above reading, so that when they are completely off they still run on the slowest setting. Obviously, I find this incredibly annoying lol.
My question is, this has to be a defective switch right? I've contacted the seller about returning the item, but don't really want to go a week like this if possible. Any way it could be something else?

Thanks in advance.

If the problem showed up after the switch got replaced, the switch is quite likely to be the problem. Other option would be pinched wires from doing the swap.

Thanks for the reply @HeyYou. I don't see that I could have pinched any wires, but I'll check this evening to make sure that's not it. In the mean time, I'll be putting the old switch back in. I'd rather have 50/50 turn signals than 100% windshield wipers in Texas.

Been a very dry year in Lubbock. Wouldn't mind about 3 times what we've had. It's been tough on the cotton.

Update, I probably voided the warranty on my switch, but I was able to fix it. I pulled the switch, and removed the back cover to disassemble it. I was able to manually "jump" the gears that control the wipers back one setting, and this fixed it! It's the little things that count lol.

Hhhhmmm.... having to 'fix' the new parts before they work properly????? Made in China?
