Reman 4.7 Engine source?
Needing to replace a very sick 2005 4.7 Ram SLT 'Magnum" engine, 'Lone Star'. VIN 8th# is 'N'. Odo = 188+K miles (my new buy for a dime).

Jeggs or summit may help.

Thanks, I've got them on my list, have dealt with both, knowing they buy from others, and wanted to check a few other sources for their ball-park numbers.

Good suggestions so far.
When I was making the build or buy decision I looked at Powertrain Prodcts https://www.powertrainproducts.net/d...engine-p/1.htm, Accurate Engines https://accurateengines.com/remanufa...dge/47-engine/ and some small shop out of South FL that I cannot recall the name of. Ultimately I went with sourcing a refurbished block, crank, rods and heads from a friend who's in the rebuilding business and doing it myself. I spent just as much or more as a reman unit but I bought name brand parts. Most rebuilders use off-brand stuff sourced from China. These are the same parts you get in kits from DNJ http://www.enginecomponents.com/en/home. It took forever but I learned a lot and ultimately enjoyed the experience. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...t-refresh.html |
https://www.powertrainproducts.net/d...engine-p/1.htm, This is who I used. No Problems. You must find the installer or do it yourself.

Thanks Chazwel, and others that have suggested PTP. I called these PPL the 1st of Dec and do sound super but my ? with them is the short return time with the bad core. I'm a DIY and 15 days (including shipping time) is too short with my pace. We are still squabbling. : )

Thanks RH, These PPL look good, and I will be calling, talking w/them today.
