Giving me a code with the key trick but the code is A-4 can’t find any info.

odb II vehicles can't flash out codes...you need a scan tool.

Transmission changed but does same as last thinking tcu. Got a reader today showing codes. P0732,p1790

Both codes relate to gear ratio/shifting problem. The 1790 will set right after the 0732 as a matter of course. It's telling you that second gear ratio is incorrect. If it's doing this on a second trans, yeah, if there is a separate TCM, I would be lookin' real hard at it.
