So i have an 05 ram 1500 quad cab with the 5.7 v8 and tucked behind my driverside headlight is what looks like a light bar plug. It is capped off but does run back and into the factory wire harness. Is this for a light bar and where does the light lead to in the truck?
also i found another up just under the cowell on the firewall again wired into the factory or as im assuming factory harness
if it helps i have the thunderroad package...what ever that means?

Since these vehicles never came with a factory installed light bar, I doubt that connector is for one. I believe what you are looking at is the ambient temperature sensor connector. If you are installing an aftermarket light bar, it should have came with a wiring harness, if not, purchase one. You're much better off using an aftermarket wiring harness that comes with it's own relay and switch.
