Bought a truck what's its lift/level
I just purchased a 2004 dodge ram 1500 SLT 4x4.
The block in the back measures 2 inch. The measurement from the center of the front hub to the fender is 24". There is no springs onthe front so I can not check the spacer height. I think torsion bars were just cranked and a block put in the rear. I'd like to fit 34 or 35 inch tires 10" width. I'm not sure the stock measurement from the center of the front hub to fender can anyone help? Thank you. |
Blocks in back are likely stock. Dodge has been doing that for a while.
Does the truck sit level when unloaded? Is the the nose a bit lower than the rear? |
It sits level the rake is gone.
I have been searching exploded views of the suspension and have not see a block used. Did they do that for specific models? |
Also am I supposed to have coil springs in the front?
|
Any chance someone could measure theirs for me?
I know mine sits higher that the wife's 2017 but that is apple's to oranges. |
Looked it up, and yep, no blocks in the stock parts diagram. So, likely a 3 to 4 inch lift. 33's should fit fine. What gear ratios in your axles??

Actually, the big tires, and low (numerically) gear ratio is harder on the truck...... especially the trans. 3.55's would be tolerable with 33's, but, with 35's, the truck is going to be a dog out of the hole. I don't think you have enough lift there for 35's either......

A lift is not in the cards right now. As for the hearing I'm not too worried as I'm not into speed but that being said I want the torque if I get into a bind in the Bush. Thank you |

I know you are right. I've been measuring everything possible and I would almost rub on the street but any articulation would be a no go. Only rub would be slight on the fenders at full lock.
