Dodge Ram 2WD 6" Lift Kit

im looking to level out and lift up my truck, i saw this site posted somewhere about this lift kit... http://www.marketworks.com/storefron...498&i=25473906 ... does it really have everything i need? the price is really good compared to some other kits out there. anyone got pics of there 2wd leveled out or lifted or have any experience with these kits. also anyone know where to get some wheels spacers, just like 1.5 or 2 inch, nothing crazy, ive seen some but they were like 500 bucks for some custom billet ones, i really like the wide stance, not so wide it looks like a low rider on daytons but you know what i mean, thanks for the help!

PS i thought some of you might enjoy this pick...and if anyone asks NO I DONT KNOW WHO TOOK IT, AND SHAME ON HIM FOR DOING THAT ;) BUT WE DIED LAUGHING WHEN WE HAD HIM HOLD UP TH....NEVERMIND!

RE: Dodge Ram 2WD 6" Lift Kit

This is a lift that is produced by Rough Country. http://www.roughcountry.com This is the link to their site. I have the 6" lift, but I don't have any pictures to post yet. You shouldn't need spacers if you are going to stick with the stock wheels and tires. It does have every thing that you need. I must inform you, if you're going to go with the stock wheels and tires; it is going to be a stiff ride (very bumpy). Those Heckthorne shocks are very stiff. Once I put on a heavier wheel/tire combo, it seemed to smooth out the ride some.

well the rough country lift looks great, they seem the same but ive heard of rough country more. and i will be putting a differnt wheel tire combo on but that gonna be a little while, gotta wait for the cash flow. ive had some pretty rough trucks how unbearable is it gonna be with the set up i got, and the look im going for is an even body distribution no front or rear lean ya know. how much did it cost you for install? the only reason i wanted spacers was for a little wider stance. please get me some pictures so i can check out your ride.

Silverbullet,
I lifted mine a year ago or so. I used a 6" Fabtech kit with 35's and I'm happy with the look. The only real problem is that the gearing is off a little bit due to the oversized tires

I know that CST suspensions offers a 7 inch lift for about 1100 and they have a few pic of lifted 2wd's on their site. Does any one know can you use coil spacers with a lift kit that has the 3 inch lift coils?

Redhawk,
your truck looks great, eventually i will be putting a larger wheel tire combo on so ill get new gears when i do that but how rough is my ride gonna be on my stock 20's and tires? and what kinda shocks do you run on your lift?

Well for me it was suprisingly rough, but I figured "it's a truck", and it's not going to have the smoothest ride. I eventually got used to it and it didn't bother me after that. I'll try to put into perspective for you; when you go over a speed bump for example, with the stock shocks the front end will collapse some because the shocks are absorbing the impact of going over the bump, therefore smoothing out the ride. With some luxury cars you can't even feel some bumps. Well with the heckthorne shocks; when you go over a speed bump the front of the truck doesn't collapse at all or maybe just a little. It felt like (at least to me) like the shocks were so stiff that they were pushing tires down after going over a speed bump instead of allowing the front end to come down and cushion the impact. I don't know if this helps any, but I guarantee that you will notice the difference with those heckthorne shocks. In fact I was thinking of getting some Bilstien's, I just haven't made it a priority yet. As for the spacers, that is your choice, you shouldn't need them, but if you want them, go for it. Lastly, the cost of installation was $560.00. The shop that I went to charged me $70/hour for 8 hours. That also included the allignment that had to be done after the lift was installed, (but was done at a different shop).
