I don't. I would go with the 17s and a good set of all terrains. I got the aluminum 04s and they rock!

I personally don't like the chrome wheels on the ram, look to much like flowers. But, the chrome is more for show and the aluminum ones to me are better lookin'. I know I'm gonna get hell for that, but it's my opinion. We tow with ours and they are easy to clean and don't require as much attention as the chrome.

The aluminum 17's are forged also. This makes them a little better suited for off roading, not to mention the cost of tires. The bigger the rim, the more money. This will also give you more sidewall area for the tires too. which puts more area between the road or trail and the rims.
Actually, if the looks of the 20's is what you really like, get them, then get a set of painted steel stock rims and mount off-road tires in 17's. Make the speedo adjustment for the 20's and don't worry too much about the 17's. If the 17's get beat up some when you're trailing, then you can just put the 20's back on when you get back home.

The 20's look plain awesome, waaaayy better. Sure, if you want to offraod andstuff, the 17's are better, but the 20's get alot more looks.

I agree. My '05 came with 20s. And they look like flowers.

One nice thing with the 20s you get the 3.92 gears. I'm currently looking for either some stock 17s or some aftermarket wheels. I considered keeping the daisy wheels and getting some better tires. The Nittos I'm looking at have a $100 per tire cost difference between the 17s and the 20s.

20's look better, but for offroading, it has to be the 17's.

you can wrap bigger tires around the 17's, go for those.
though I did see a post a month or two back where a guy put some huge tires on srt-10 rims and went offroading with them.

Forged wheels are about the best you can buy for weight and strength and are by far the best for on and off road use. Thats why they are on the PowerWagon. You never use to be able to get a forged wheel from the factory except in very high-end sportscars. Forged wheels were always a high-end aftermarket wheel because of their expensive price. Most all OEM wheels are steel or cast aluminum. Kudos to Dodge for bringing out a highend wheel.
