Default removing sotck exhaust

Hey fellow Dodgers.... Here is my question.. I have a 2004 Ram 1500 4.7 with the Quad Cab. I just got a new flow master dual exhaust system (cat back) and my question is when I take the old one off, there seems to be a conncetion just before the muffler (between the "Y" and the muffler) How does this come apart? My neighbor is helping me tomorrow to do this, and he pretty much does this stuff all day. But out of my own curiosity, I'm hopign to find out for myself. Can anyone help me out on this? The Kit I bought was from www.jegs.com and the part number was 389-17353.

Thanks for any info!

This is a great question - everyone always mentions how tough it is to get the stock exhaust off, is there another thread any one can link to on some tips/tricks for removal (using hand tools...not everyone owns a plasma cutter......)......

Ok.. my neighbor and I decided to take this stock exhaust off tonight instead of tomorrow. What a piece of cake. There is a clamp just before the muffler. We loosened that up.. disconnected all the rubber mounts then just pulled it off. It took some twisting anf pulling, but it came right off. Tail pipe and all. I piece. The Flowmaster system was a simple install. Just time consuming. The biggest problem we had was installing another hanger for the driver side exhaust. And that's because the spare was a little in the way. Other than that, I'd have to say, this bolt on kit was pretty freaking easy. I definatewly needed the second pair of hands to put it on. Here are some pics.
