What's it called???

Hey guys,

I just got an 03 Ram quad cab and got a question... When I bought it the dealer said that it probably had a fold down platform under the back seat that when you raised the seat you had the option of folding it down and having some inside storage (for when you have groceries and such). It was missing when I bought it. My question is what is that platform called (the technical term of there is any) and where can I find it on the web if I wanted to buy one?

By the way, I LOVE MY TRUCK!!!!!! I've wanted one for SOOOOOOO long and about as happy as can be!!!![sm=happybounce.gif]

Preciate the feedback!

I don't use it that often. Only when the item won't fit on the seat because it is too tall. Normally it gets thrown into the back of the truck.

Not worth it, the area is better used without the paltform. Nice to have that storage....

+1 Platform/fold-not-so-flat is the suxor.

If buying new, better to spend the $100 on a sliding rear window or keep it in your pocket for some deep aftermarket rubber floor mats.

LOL... I disagree, you get to keep the same storage spaces... so you get the storage and you get the fold out floor. I have found it to be one the the greatest assets to the truck. I went to Home Depot and bought a few feet of the hallway Carpet on a roll. It is the same color as the interior so it looks factory. I layed that down on the fold out floor and the floor stays down more than 90% of the time only going up for passengers, I use that floor to transport anything and everything that will fit through the doors. Its also perfect if you have a HUGE dog like I have... the floor allows him to stand up and walk back and forth from window to window and the carpet gives him traction so he does not slide all over the place... Its actually real nice. When I need to use the back seets, I just roll up the carpet and drop the seats.. I could not see owning the 3rd gen Ram without one.

I use mine all the freakin time. granted it is one more thing to lift to get to storage, it's nice to have it when I have something heavy that doesnt need to be in the bed.
