Is this noise normal? load banging?
When I drive over a decent bump in the road every now and then it sounds as if someone is in the back seat with a hammer beating on the frame of the truck. The repetition is like that of a machine gun, it strikes anywhere from 6-8 times. Is this normal? I would hate see what this would be like if I went off roading. What could this be? I only have 500 miles on this truck.

I don't have an educated answer for this but when in doubt and your truck is under warranty, take it to service. Just make sure you can duplicate the noise when you take it. Otherwise they will tell you that they can't do anything till they hear it. And I can't see that noise being normal....

i had a problem in my STD cab with the rear speakers loose.
the best thing to do would be to start out simple and less costly, so you dont go replacing expensive items that are not even the problem.
raise the vehicle up, go under it and start shaking away untill you have maybe find what the deal is. if that doesnt work, take it for a drive and listen to hear which side it is on. you may have a bum strut, but for an '06 i would doubt it, but stranger things have happened.
