Default 2004 RCSB 4x4 Front End noise

I've got an 04 RCSB Hemi ram, it started making a weird clanging noise from the front drivers side tire, it is not a clunking noise but more a clang, like the heat shield for the rotor is catching on something. I pulled the tire off, there's no play in the wheel bearing, cv axle and all of the joints are nice and solid. I'm at a loss. It usually happens when I make a sharp turn, then goes away when the wheels are straight. 4x4 does NOT trigger the noise. I thought I may have had a rock or something stuck in the rotor but I just changed them out not even 2 months ago.

also I should note, this happened randomly after I put the truck in reverse and backed out of a parking spot with the wheels turned, it felt almost like the brakes were engaged as I could feel some resistance.

bump. I noticed the ride is a bit wobbly at 60+. I believe this has factory wheel hubs on it still. I'm going to start with those, because they're cheaper than replacing a CV axle that doesn't 'appear' to be broken.

Can anyone chime in if this is the part I need to replace the CV axle?
