Finally got my EFAN installed.
Well I finally got it all done and it's time to make a thread about it.
1. I started by loosening the clutch fan. This was ****ing hard and
i had to make something to hold the pulley in place. I took some metal and drilled some holes that lined up with the screw that pokes out on the motor and two holes on the pulley. PITA!
2.The I tracked down all of the bolts and connectors holding the shroud and connecting pieces together. I thought I was in the clear but I missed the two hoses on the bottom of the shroud connected by a clip.
3.after everything was ready to go I removed the clutch fan and fan shroud at the samer time.
4.Removed the air filter box. I actually already had it off from when I cleaned the throttle body. For this you really only have to take off the box with the filter in it.
5.Started making the brackets. Not really that easy but not to hard either unless you want them perfect. I didn't have a vise. I made them as best I could.
6.After the most fabrication with the brackets was all done I made sure of a good fit and went back to the shroud.
7.From the way the fan fit in the shroud I figured I would need to cut some shroud from the bottom. I wish I would have known this before I dropped the fan and shroud in the truck. I did it after I had everything in place. Gotta expect the unexpected with **** like this.
8.Mounted the fan up to the radiator and put the shroud back too. You have to put the fan and shroud in at the same time.
9.Started screwing screws and after a few minutes I had everything back together. I made sure all my wireing was right before this but still left everything hand tight JIC.
10.Wired up everything and put some "make it look nice" tubing to make it look stockish.. It's my first underhood work so it was hard to do a lot of stuff.
11. turned truck on and waited for it to warm up. Fan kept it right below the mid way point. Most of the radiator was cool to the touch. Just the four far corners were hot and the little radiator at the bottom was a little hot.(trans cooler?)
12. Havn't been able to test it on the road(dui) but I will at the end of the month when I get my DL back.

I say I am going to move this stuff.....I wouldn't mount the rlay or controller here again.
Had to cut some of the shroud so I used circle saws to get most of what I needed gone gone
space saver

MOUNT DAT!
Came out pretty nice though
Cutting on a budget
the first bend was easy
The fabricated tool to get the fan off.
One of the brackets in place

I mounted my efan (Taurus efan) in the shroud itself so i wouldn't have to worry about any bracketry, also mounted my controller onto frame so that I couldn't see any wiring. Very good mod..welcome to the efan club..

It's a damn hydraulic fan!!! Or at least in my JGC Overland it is. Blew me away when I realized it.
