Fold Flat Floor Removal HELP!!!
alright, its gotta go because im putting in a system and wouldnt you know it, the bolts are frozen. either that or i grossly underestimated my ability to use a socket wrench effectively. is there any tips or tricks you guys used to get your bolts to loosen up? i dont have a power drill so im limited to the socket wrench set.
thanks.
thanks.
Mine were a bit tough, but I ended up using an impact to get them off.
So if your limited to manual labor, i'd say try and get a snipe or something to put on the end of your wrench to give you more leverage.
Or maybe try soaking them in some wd-40 for a little bit.

yeah i dont have an impact wrench so im kind of in a bind. would you say WD40 would loosen them up a bit? they seem to have that huge flange around the head that looks like wd40 wont quite get in there
thanks for the suggestions all. i actually ended up going into a pep boys around here and they took it out with an impact wrench for free.
i had it from stock but never used it and want to put in a couple of tens so its gotta go. best part is... some guy is buying it from me tomorrow so more money towards the sound fund...

new2, that load floor is worth something to anybody who bought a late 3rd gen. The late trucks came with a plastic load floor with no real hinge. I made the dealer let me swap the floor out of my 2002 when I bought the 2009. You should be able to sell that steel floor for a few bucks.
