When I do it I get a complete drive belt component kit and change everything out at once.

The notches on the tensioner will indicate how worn or stretched the belt is.

You can get a handy serpentine belt tool to use for free through most local parts stores loan-a-tool programs.

 

i did this last month on a 2011 with 50k miles. The PM schedule called for it, the dealer too. The one i took off looked really good with no cracks. I was surprised but changed it anyway. that diagram website would have been helpful. i am used to the diagram being on a decal in engine bay but nope.
