Default Is the 2014 ram a year to stay away from or no?

I've been looking at a ram that s 2014 Dodge ram with a 3.6 and it's a 4x4. But I read they have a lot of problems with the transmission and radios on these trucks . I did a Carfax on the truck and I see the PCM was reset along with a few other things not sure what to think it's a nice truck but I just want some input. Any info will help thanks

I guess there's nothing to specific about 14 vs lots of other year 4th gens. They all have their quirks, I'd be more worried about the 3.6 then the trans or radio. Not that I'm saying its a bad motor, its just has more well known issues than the trans or radio. In 180k miles its needed rockers, oil cooler, 2 sets of plugs and a set of coil packs.

Get one with a hemi. A V6 does not belong in a full size truck

what's so bad about the 3.6? I don't know if I'm going to buy it or not I just looked at it but it seems strange that a 2014 would have five different owners already I wonder about that. I used to have an 03 with a hemi it was a great truck but it rotted away so I sold it for parts I'm looking for another one that's a little newer can't afford a brand new one.

Nothing really, like i mentioned, in the 180k miles I've owned mine i told you what i replaced, they are all typical 3.6 common issues. Its a healthy motor. I agree with jkeaton a v6 does not belong in a full size. But if its a run around, they do just fine. I only mentioned the motor as i believe it has more concerns surrounding then the trans or radio, and if you're getting a 3.6, you probably don't have the 8.4 which would be most likely to give issues, hemis have issues too.

I wouldn't be more concerned with one over the other.
