Towing 5100 pound travel trailer with 500 pounds in bed and 2 passengers and driver. The trip was about 350 miles with 1, 3 mile 6% grade. The trailer is 20 foot with a light weight of 4400 pounds, I figured 5100 pounds wet and with all the stuff in it but it could be heavier. It does 52 miles per hour full throttle on 6% grade. It aint a cummins but oh well.

Fingers crossed I am hoping later this year or early next I will get my Hemi ram.
Feel good about your mileage on your trucks!!
I currently drive:
2006 Dodge Magnum 3.5l V6
Approx 49709 miles
Mods: Airhammer CAI
Gas: 90 Oct 10% Ethonal
City 3% Hwy 97% (this past weekend) 21 mpg
When I am driving to work everyday it is about 98% City and 2% Hwy I see around 17mpg to 19 mpg depending how I am driving that week.
Just wanted to give you some sort of comparison to how good these trucks are showing on fuel.
So that being said anyone want to buy a magnum so I can buy a Truck lol.

Okay, okay, first off, for those of you who say that your mileage fell off after the first couple hundred miles, that's normal! It's called break-in! The Hemi takes about 5000 miles to break in, and the computers take at least that long (they're always re-learning how you drive) to get everything tuned right.
Also too, you can reset your AVG MPG! The number that is displayed in the EVIC is an AVG! The longer you drive, you more idling you do, the more stop and go, and the lower your overall average becomes. Reset it, and it will jump back up to where it was!
I know this might be a shocker that it's that simple, but if you haven't tried it, try it before you flame me!
And FYI, if you didn't know, the bar at the bottom of the fuel economy display is your Instantaneous MPG. If you watch this, you will be able to see what you are getting at that instant.
***For reference, the 2005 with K&N Filter (not intake) and Flowmaster 50-type muffler with turn downs got about 13mpg avg in city, and about 19.5mpg avg on the highway. With 3.92s!!! It was a great truck...
Now, on to my real question. I just bought my new Ram! A 2010 Lone Star Quad Cab 4x4! It has the 3.55 gears and open diffs with factory 20"s. (No mods at this time.) The 2005 I traded in was a 2WD version of the same truck, but with 3.92s and an LSD. I really miss the feel of the 3.92s and the LSD! I have been getting good MPG with the 3.55s and 4x4 combo, but I wonder what would happen with 3.92s? Hypothetically, MDS works based on the load on the engine. With taller gears, the engine would move more into the power band, and also give you more mechanical advantage. So, hypothetically, the 3.92s would allow MDS to operate more often, thus improving (or atleast offsetting) MPG. So you'd get the performance of the 3.92s in town and off-road, but not sacrifice MPGs...
I'm curious to hear from owners of trucks with the 3.92 4x4 combo. What's your MPG?
As of now, with about 1750mi on my truck, and tend to get about 12mpg avg in city and 18.5mpg avg on the highway.

Just completed a 6 hour trip where I averaged 23mpg up and about 21 mpg back. Was doing 65 mph on the main highway and 55-60 on a secondary highway going out and 75 mph and 55-60 on the way back. No real wind, 65-75F, just me in the truck for most of the trip and only had the A/C on for about two hours. I was in rolling hills and some flat sections. I find my truck can get pretty good mileage on the highway if I keep my lead foot out of the throttle!! I took a picture of the EVIC with my phone for proof but can't figure out how to post the pic or find the cable?!!

Just filled up for the first time today and my computer said I was getting 15.5 mpg but when hand calculated I got 12.0 mpg. Filled up with 89 octane today and plan on only running that for now so we'll see how gas goes form here on, I'm still breaking the motor in also so we'll see how it goes later. I'm at about 250 miles right now so, yea...
Did a road trip up to Moab Utah this weekend. Didn't keep track on the mileage on the way up because my friends were taking care of fuel since I was driving and didn't fill it up. But on the way back I got about 16.5 mpg, was going up and down a lot of hills so that kinda killed the first half of the way back. For the rest of the trip however, I got 21 mpg since it was mostly downhill. Total distance one way was 445 miles.
