Thumbs up Mufflex DOD24M

This is for all the guys and gals that wanted to know about the Mufflex DOD24M. I just got done installing it on my truck and I must say that I'm very happy with the sound. At idle it has a nice low rumble (to let you know that there is in fact duels on the truck) Take off from a stop and you get a nice low rumble up through the gears and once you hit your last shift the rumble is gone and its nice and quite in the cab. This is the perfect exhaust for me as I wanted to be able to hear it at lower speeds and not so much when shooting down the highway. Personally for myself I think the other two mufflers that Mufflex offers would be to loud.(this is just my personal preference) and I know evenyone has a different preference. Anyways I hope this helps anyone that was wondering if the the 24 mufflex is the right one for their truck. I would give the DOD24M two horns up!!!!!!!

stealthgoat, Thanks for your review. I have been waiting for someone to install one of these mufflers. It's just what I have been looking for.

I just installed the 14 on mine. It is alot quieter on my 09 than on my 07. It's the same magnaflow muffler but with the resonators still on the tail pipes it quiets it down a good bit. Not to mension that the cab is ALOT quieter in the 09 than the 07.

Stealth,
Do you have a sport or other? The reason I ask is because the sport muffler is labled as "agressive note" and is a little louder than the stock duals. If it's not much louder than a stock sport I'd want to get the shorter one.

Hop,
I have a SLT crew cab and my stock muffler you couldn't even hear (about like a mouse fart!!), If I had to guess I would say the 24" mufflex is a 4, if stock is a 1. Can you hear yours rumble up through the gears now?

I also just installed the DOD14M on my 09, and now I have to install one on the wifes 09 1500 as well.
They sound incredable, with very little cab drone on the highway, the only down side is when they go into "gas saver" mode they do sound a little off, so in town I just keep it in 2nd gear.
which ever mufflex muffler you choose, you can't go wrong by making it sound better.
Just my 2 cents

Yeah magnaflow makes a great sounding muffler. Flowmaster has gone to crap. I read online that they(flowmasters) cause the hemi to lose power.
