looks like a smaller diameter pipe than my xdi... wonder where the rest of that pipe is headed... into the fender vent?

Monsoon 08-28-2009 03:55 PM

Wonder if you have to remove the engine cover to use it or if they removed it for the photo? Looks small, but that may be a better idea than a bigger diameter pipe. The air may flow more smoothly. MPG claims are pretty high. But if it works - it would be great!

And what's up with XDI? I'm hearing they went belly up???? I went to their web site to look at purchasing a CAI and the "Buy It" link does not work anymore.

Any one hear that?

$339 is a little to high for it.

How is this thing a true CAI, does it have ducting running cool air to the filter? It doesn't look like it's worth the price and definitely needs more pics so people have an idea of what they are getting. With the XDI dead b.c true flow is out of business, the AFE looks like the best option other than a drop in.

yes its true they went out of business, and i just bought one

any update or input from anyone else? I just stumbled upon the intake the other day, and if what they're claiming is true its well worth the money. I think I spent 300 on my airaid when it first was out and I swear all it did was add noise

Nate769 09-16-2011 11:50 PM

I was under the understanding that in these new trucks the stock airbox provides a solid amount of air. That adding a cool air intake does not make that much of a performance gain, just looks and noise?

I may be wrong, but still thats a ton for what it appears to be in the pic. You would be better to take a 2" EMT conduit and put a 45 in it and put a filter at the other end, paint it blue, and drill a hole in it for the sensor. 50 bucks at best to get you the same time of product. Thats really all they do and charge you 400 bucks for it!

any update on this? anyone have any experience? I am literally waiting for my airaid filter to dry (just cleaned it) and will then be re-oiling. Really disappointed with the airaid. Have had it less than a year, and am already cleaning it to see if this helps with mpgs/performance.

this bwoody company is actually about an hour from me, so I may have to give them a call and head up there one day. Their claims on rear wheel horsepower is alot

rdculus 01-12-2012 09:37 PM

When I had my jeep srt8 most of the guys on the forums were running bwoody intakes. Guys I talked to swore by them claiming to be the only cai with real, significant hp gains.
