I got the 4.7 beacuse it was what I could find with all the other stuff I wanted at a price I felt like paying. That's the way it is when buying used. I wouldn't mind having the hemi, but I don't regret not having it either. I don't haul much besides my bikes and household stuff.
Same here, family grew unexpectedly and we needed a new truck with more room. I got what I considered a good deal for a certified pre owned '09 crew cab with 14,000 miles and the 4.7, it was basically a new truck. I have a tent trailer and 16 ft aluminum boat so towing shouldn't be issue. I do wish that the 4.7 had the MDS because we take a 700 mile trip a couple times a year to visit family and the extra mileage would've been nice.
no offense to anyone but dodge figues they will sell 2 trucks instead of 1 cause guy gets 4.7 not happy gets hemi a few months later. oh and its got a hemi i wanted a diesel and the salesman said towing a full size show truck would be easy with the hemi, the truck was already on the lot and the dealer i bought mine from had nothing but hemis on the lot only one or two 4.7s out of say 25 or 30 full size rams.
I didn't care what else it had except for the HEMI. Wanted the HP for toys in the future and only wish I had gotten the LSD for winter. Very happy overall and don't regret the purchase.
I got the hemi bc I've always had a smaller motor and got tired of that. Plus mpg was the same so why not.
Yep. Mileage was no different so why not. Plus I drive lots of flat straight roads and the eco light is on quite a bit. Nice to have the power there if I do need it. Such an awesome motor.
