Default Finished a few mods this weekend...

Color matched the front and rear emblems. The front was easy, the rear...not so much.

And the Pièce de résistance! I didn't want to lose my embroidered headrests, and Jina doesn't do the dvd headrests, sooooo...I made some custom modifications and mounted the dvd players on the seatbacks.

I like the badges, the dvd monitors however look a bit bulky sticking out a lot.. but if you like them then thats all that matters.

How did you color match the badges? Does it require a lot of percision?

Damn these work computers for not letting me see the pictures. I'd love to get some info from you on how you did the badges. I've been thinking of picking up and extra set (get the new back one that doesn't say Dodge on it) and color matching to my silver or maybe just black. Why was the back emblem such a pain?

I'm assuming the back one was a pain because the "Dodge" text takes up a lot of space. I was actually planning to do the same thing for my rear emblem.

The emblems look great man. Did you just pickup a bottle of touch up paint to use for that?

The front emblem pops off pretty easy, and the black part actually detaches from the ram (see below).

The rear emblem is one piece and is glued on, so I had to tape off the ram, tape off the tailgate, and then paint. I picked up some Duplicolor Perfect Match paint at Advanced Auto, they have one for my paint code.

ok...they are the Mopar ones that come in the headrests. Got them cheap off Ebay, but didn't want to lose my embroidered headrests. Took them apart, dumped the headrests and had the plastic frame padded and upholstered to match the interior.

Then I used a vehicle mount for an iPad (they have adjustable post settings) and placed a 1x1x4" block of wood (carpeted it) between the frame and mount to let it sit out a bit, and screwed it all together. Wired just as the instructions said, and they work great!

What was involved for the painting , prep work that is . did you need to prime and scuff sand before paint or just clean and paint?
