2500 vs 3500 actual difference

What is the actual difference between a 2014-2016 2500 HD (diesel) and 3500? Basically motor, xmission, and gear ratio the same. rear axels? Bearings? Frame? Suspension? cause experience with salesmen and dealers will tell you anything you want to hear for the sale.

Seems the bigger difference is the 1500 which is limited to mostly daily driver use.
The 3/4 and full ton Rams are work horses. Good example is the available manual transmissions. I would have considered a 1500 had the NV4500 5 speed been available in the 1500. I ended up with the 2500 and glad I did. Due to weight and commercial built its exempt here in Atlanta from emissions.
