Thoughts on a 2010 power wagon?
Hello all, I come from the 2nd gen page and have a question. I have come across a 2010 power wagon for sale near me. The price seems great ($10k) and it has 160k miles. The miles are what make me hesitant but several people I have talked to say with these years that’s nothing. Is there anything I should be on the lookout for or check specifically when I look at it tomorrow?

Look on Youtube for a video on 2010 Ram problems. 1A auto does a lot of videos telling you what tends to fail. My older truck has 172K or so and runs just fine. Get yourself an OBD II scanner if you don't have one to read for any codes. I got a truck once that the scanner couldn't read it and it turned out the guy had pulled the fuse to hide problems with the truck. Unfortunately for him, being a dealer, that came under fraud. He bought it back but is no longer in business as I mentioned to several friends what he had done.
The Power Wagon like you're looking at is nice and I'd buy one if I got a good deal, but I had a REAL power wagon for a while. The one you're looking at is more comfortable and definitely will run faster, but I didn't need roads with mine.
Thanks for the reply’s. I went and looked at the truck yesterday and have decided to pass. In ten minutes of looking at the ram I found about a dozen issues they forgot to mention in half a dozen phone calls back and forth over the weekend. Already annoyed by the dealers other shenanigans during this visit, there counter of “you can fix that stuff yourself later” had me leave empty handed.

I'm of the opinion that a tank of fuel is worth it to look at something and pass. I drove 500 miles (one way) once to get a really desirable trade I had been looking for, for years. I went to look at this;
When I got there, I found this;
Broken windows, all the tires were flat, hard to find parts were missing, the "rust free" frame I could poke my finger through and the hood had been used as a paint bench. I thanked the guy for his time and drove 500 miles home. 2 days travel, a night at a motel in a REALLY bad section of town and 2 days equipment rental to no end. A tank of fuel to look at something is cheaper and easier on my elderly bod.
