I just don't get it! Ready to buy and no deals in oklahoma!!
Well I just can't seem to get any dealer to sell me a 09 crew laramie sticker $46600 fo less than $35000. I don't get it. According to other post some stickered for $39000 and bout for $24500. Some sticker for $44000 and bought for $31000. I then decided to go with the Honda Ridgeline because I really do not need this much truck but couldn't pull the trigger on that vehicle. I am approved for dodge at 0% for 48 and have no trade and still no deal. Well I guess the Ridge will have a lot better resale especially after dodge goes out of business. I am so frustrated!!

Well, the deals did change after January. There were probably about $1,500 less with regards to incentives if I had bought my truck now compared to the end of January. The other thing that plays a factor is the dealership. Some just aren't as willing to deal as much as others. How many did you shop around at? I checked probably 5-6 different dealerships when I was looking, and I was also willing to drive a couple hundred miles away if I had to. You were still getting $11,500 off of MSRP. That's a pretty good deal if you ask me. There will always be others out there that got a better deal. Plus, you could have always dropped down to an SLT, still got plenty of options and lowered your price to the same price you paid on the Ridgeline most likely.
Personally, I think you passed up a better truck for what is still a very good deal. Anyway, good luck with the Ridgeline. |
i didnt buy the ridgeline but started too. Resale is huge to me. if you pay $1500 more than others the truck is worth that much less when you drive off the lot. I just don't know what to do. And if dodge fails then resale is done. I really do like the new Dodge ride. I am a little nervous about the fuel mileage. My friends gets 14 mpg average and he drives 70% hyw. His is an 08 but same basic engine. I guess I have this weekend to think it over more.

Drive up to Missouri :) they are knocking some pretty good discounts around. I know my dealer is still offering a continued support discount, where if you are currently a Dodge owner, you get like 2000 off. If you just look at the sticker prices though, you will get discouraged. I said somewhere on here earlier that they left the sticker prices at full msrp in hopes for a jack ass to show up and buy at full sticker.
Hone your bargaining skills a little bit and see what happens. |
I just oredered one from Big O dodge in South Carolina. 12 K off sticker and probably the smoothest transaction for a vehicle I have ever had. i live in Jersey but went for it and it was so worth it. If you call there look for Jeremy's phone number he is the internet guy and takes care of everything.

You can get better deals, just look around online or try other deals. Print out competing dealers' ads and do what it takes to get the deal done. Work on negotiating skills if you need to. Leave if you don't get the deal you want and call them offering to come back the next day if they can make it happen this time, etc.
And if you buy the Ridgeline you're not buying a truck, just a truck wannabe. |
