Help..I can't download my tunes!!
 

I just got my new laramie w/ nav. I'm having trouble downloading music files in full from my ipod and/or flashdrive. I thought it was maybe because I was trying to download my 30 gig ipod at the same time, so I tried using a flash drive and it won't download anything complete. For example, out of a flashdrive w/ 15 artists and 30 or so albums after it says download complete it will only have 7 or 8 artists with only a few random songs each. If anyone has any idea how to download the entire contents or why its not transferring all the files completely I would really appreciate your input. Thanks:(

You can only download MP3 Files, so anything on your flashdrive in a different format will not work, and nothing on the Ipod will since they do not use MP3 Encoding.

Itunes protects their music and those songs won't transfer to anything. Also I am pretty sure the Head unit will only play mp3 files so any that are mp4 files (itunes) will not transfer over.

Do you know how to convert from mp4 file to an mp3?

There are a number of programs available online to convert the files.
