Problem with Aftermarket 20's

Bought aftermarket 20" wheels with 275/65/r20, and have gone through 2 sets of tires and wheels trying to get them to balance, and still have shake in the steering wheel a little. Will going to bigger wheels cause a little shake, because i dont remember having anything with the factory 17" wheels.

I know with some aftermarket wheels you will have to remove the rotor clips so the wheel will set flush on the rotor. If you have not removed the clips I would try that first.

20s are hard to balance. If you are going to discount tire, they cant balance worth crap.

also, many aftermarket wheels dont use weights on the outer face.
sometimes this makes it hard to get total balance.

Try dynamic balancing using balance beads. I run 8oz of these in my 35" mud tires and they do a great job.

You might have an defective rim, that for whatever reason is structurally unsound or out of balance that could be causing your problem. Did you get an alignment after putting on the new rims and tires? 20s are significantly heavier than 17s, and the extra weight can amplify alignment issues..

My chrome clads from the factory blow me away at how much weight they have stuck inside the rim, now they are not very thick so that might be why it looks like so much but I would rather the stickons than those ones on the front that cause damage.

i have the factory 20's with the Nitto mud grapplers and 2 of them call for .25ounces and the other 2 =.75ounces

Im pretty sure not a balance issue but am going to take to dealer to do Road Force and see if that fixes it, maybe Discount Tire just doesnt know how to do it properly. I will definately check to see if the rotor clips are on. Thanks for the input. Will reply with results.
