3.21 with stock 20's?

hey guys just got my truck and was looking into the the specs and shopping for a hitch. just noticed that according to the sticker that my truck has 3.21 rear end. Is that possible with the 5.7 hemi and stock 20 inch rims. i got crew cab slt big horn edition.

how much do gears roughly run to switch them out to 3.92?

jason2922 Aug 12, 2009 10:41 AM

average 1200 +/-

need the ring and pinion, also the spacer kit

if you have 4x4, then double that

How much are you going to tow, I have the same set up and tow my boat [loaded 3,500--4,000 lbs ] Have no problems pulling or coming off the ramps?

jason2922 Aug 12, 2009 11:31 AM

guessing he wants more torque and not really the pulling cap...

well havent done any towing with it yet but will find out i guess. got a 26 ft pontoon boat prolly about 3000 dry weight and 26ft Proline runabout which probably is about 5000lbs dry. right at the trucks capacity. which i wont tow much but be nice too know i could. was just doing some reading on the boards and didnt even thing about gear ratio when i bought the truck. got a steal on it so i could really care less.
